Fly Fishing Benefactors (FFB) travelled to Pine Mountain Georgia, only an hour and a half drive from our home office, for our first FFF Conclave. The Southesatern FFF Conclave, slated for 29 - 31 May allowed FFB to meet with FFF representatives and donate equipment and gear for the auction and fund-raising efforts. We showed some individuals and memebers at the conclave our prototype fly fishing gear and had many interested guides and fly fishers.

The Mid South FFF Home Waters Expo was FFB's first experience at a conclave/event as a retailer. Though the crowd was rather small at the event, there were sufficient opportunitites to show and sell the fly fishing equipment we have built. An opportunity to meet R. P. "Van" VanGytenbeek was instrumental in presenting the idea of FFB building a limited edition and numbered fly reel for FFF fund-raising. Preliminary agreement to continue talks and discussions on specifics of the reel were made and FFB was on the track to build a new fly reel.

The Memphis Home Waters Expo 2007 was our first FFF Conclave as a retailer. We had some great exposure to the FFF organization and learned a great deal about the retail market. We also made many new friends.

The Magnolia State was home for us for many years and we enjoyed our visit with friends and old haunts on our journey to the FFF conclaves.
